About Us

For the love of animals

Kudah Veterinary Services started out as a mobile vet service over 15 years ago. Due to popular demand, we opened the doors of our permanent establishment in Forrestdale in 2017.

Here at Kudah Veterinary Services, we love what we do and are committed to offering quality, yet affordable care. Our dedicated team provides a wide range of exceptional veterinary services for your beloved pets. From routine check-ups to complex procedures, we ensure compassionate attention at an affordable cost for your cherished companions.

Our Veterinarians

Dr Ambre Smith

Veterinarian (BSc, BVMS)

Dr Ambre Smith is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal behaviour and reproduction. Growing up competing in agility and horse show jumping, Ambre developed a deep understanding of the bond between animals and their guardians. As a breeder and exhibitor of Border Collies and a licensed ANKC judge, she brings extensive experience in canine conformation and performance. Certified with the Karen Pryor Academy, IMDT and Fear Free, Ambre is committed to positive, science-based training methods and low stress veterinary care. She is also qualified to perform PennHIP evaluations, helping clients make informed decisions about their pets’ joint health. Ambre loves to work with owners to strengthen their relationships with their dogs and ensure their pets lead happy, healthy lives.

Dr Kimara

Dr Kimara Walters

Veterinarian (BSc, BVSc)

Dr Kim Walters graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2016. She immigrated to Australia, bringing with her extensive experience treating a wide variety of animals. Now a proud permanent resident of Australia, Kim is passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care, with a special interest in soft tissue surgery. She is also PennHIP certified, ensuring a high level of expertise in this area.

Kim has a deep love for animals and shares her home with her Miniature Poodle, George, and her Toy Poodle, Sadie, who are both thoroughly spoiled. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, playing padel with her partner, and spending time with her dogs. With a warm and compassionate approach, Kim is dedicated to caring for every pet as if they were her own.

Dr Taylor Waterson

Veterinarian (BSc, BVMS)

Dr Taylor Waterson is a recent graduate of New Zealand’s Massey University and is proudly of Māori descent. Alongside her veterinary career, she plays professional women’s Super Rugby for WA’s Western Force, bringing the same dedication and teamwork to both the field and the clinic. With a strong interest in both dog and cattle health and welfare, Taylor combines her veterinary knowledge with her background in high-performance sport to work collaboratively with owners, helping their animals reach their full potential. Her passion for teamwork and care ensures every patient receives the best possible support. She also enjoys art, a good cafè breakfast and outdoor activities like snorkelling, wakeboarding and the occasional hike.

Dr Nichola

Dr Nichola Frampton

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Dr Nichola Frampton joined the Kudah team in March 2026. After graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2007, she spent five years working in the UK before relocating to Perth. Nichola has experience in emergency veterinary medicine and has completed additional study in animal behaviour, which has become a particular area of interest.

Outside of work, Nichola enjoys life with her three horses, two cats, and two energetic German Wirehaired Pointers, who certainly keep her busy.

Our Support Team

Amy Parker

Practice Manager

Amy Parker is a qualified veterinary nurse who graduated in 2005 and has been with Kudah since its inception in 2012. Starting her career as a nurse, she has worked her way up through the ranks and is now serving as the Practice Manager.

Outside of her professional life, she is happily married and a proud mother of two children. She shares her home with two dogs, Peach and Dancer, a ragdoll cat named Momo, chickens, and fish, creating a lively and loving environment.

In her free time, Amy enjoys reading and camping with the family, finding peace in nature and the world of books.

Steven

Veterinary Nurse

Steven has been a valued member of the Kudah team since 2013, bringing decades of experience to the clinic. After graduating in 1988, Steve spent 20 years working at Murdoch University, where he developed a wealth of knowledge across many areas of veterinary medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Steve is an all-breeds dog show judge, a role that has taken him to many incredible destinations around the world. He is also passionate about breeding and exhibiting Whippets, Löwchens, and English Springer Spaniels, and is an active and extremely valued and respected member of the dog show community in Australia and around the world.

Sam Tabbalo (1)

Sam

Veterinary Nurse

Sam Tabbalo joined the Kudah team in 2018 while completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has been a valued Veterinary Nurse since graduating in 2019. Sam is passionate about providing compassionate care to every patient and enjoys building relationships with both pets and their families.

Outside of work, Sam is happily married and a proud mum of four children. She shares her home with three cats and one dog, and in her spare time enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family.

Josh

Veterinary Nurse

Josh joined the Kudah team in 2018 after completing his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. He has a particular interest in radiology and surgery and enjoys being involved in providing high-quality patient care.

Outside of work, Josh spends his time with his German Shepherd puppy, Ranger. He also enjoys tabletop gaming, watching movies, going to the gym, and getting outdoors for walks.

Vicki

Veterinary Nurse

Vicki graduated as a qualified veterinary nurse in 2019 and joined the Kudah team in 2020. She has a particular passion for the reproduction side of veterinary nursing and enjoys being involved in the unique and rewarding cases it brings.

Outside of the clinic, Vicki keeps busy running a family business, spending quality time with her husband and children, and breeding Australian Bulldogs and Sphynx cats. Her dedication to animal care extends well beyond the workplace, making her a valued member of the Kudah team.

Veterinary Nurse

Viktoriya has been a valued member of the Kudah Vet team since 2023, after immigrating to Australia with her husband in 2022. She brings a positive attitude and her trademark big smile to work every day and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure every patient receives the best possible care.

Her genuine compassion and dedication to our patients, combined with her friendly and caring nature, make her a wonderful asset to our team.

Outside of work, Viktoriya loves making the most of the outdoors. She enjoys camping, learning to surf and trying new outdoor adventures. When she’s not exploring, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, friends and her much-loved Golden Retriever, Cookie.

Reception

Deb is our reception superstar and has been part of the Kudah team since 2020, after many years as a valued client. She loves welcoming clients to the clinic and enjoys building lasting relationships with both them and their pets, helping to make every visit a positive experience.

Outside of work, Deb is passionate about breeding and showing her beautiful Shetland Sheepdogs and enjoys spending time with her dogs as well as spending time with family and friends.
